"The pure white emotion of a simmering caress against the skin. Sensual macrocyclic musk, soft, powdery. Musk Z4 is a unique ingredient. Created in 1998 by IFF, Musk Z4 is a sensual, soft, powdery macrocyclic musk with slightly more animal tones, less sandalwood, with extremely fine metallic powdery facets. Quite powerful, it is a beautiful note of musk animal that resembles natural Tonkin musk adding a creamy and musky effect. Particularly interesting effects can be obtained at low levels with floral, fruity and gourmet compositions. It is, however, incredibly persistent and arguably one of the best fixers known in perfumery. It contains more animal odor than most synthetic musk." - a note from the brand
