About This Fragrance
Rose Geranium by Floris is a Floral fragrance for women and men. Rose Geranium was launched in 1890. Top notes are Geranium, Green Notes and Citron; middle notes are Palmarosa, Rose and Palisander Rosewood; base note is Cedar. Rose Geranium was first introduced by Floris in 1890 when pink geranium was added to the existing geranium fragrance. Crafted from the exquisite leaves of the geranium flower, Rose Geranium is a unique mix of floral and citrus notes combining the timeless allure of roses, uplifting palmarosa and a grounded warm, woody base. A receipt exists in the Floris archives from Marilyn Monroe who ordered six bottles of Floris Rose Geranium Eau de Toilette in 1959 under the alias, Miss Dorothy Blass, Monroe’s personal secretary. This was then crossed out and changed to Marilyn Monroe Miller. The perfumes were to be sent from the Floris shop at 89 Jermyn Street, London to the Beverly Hills Hotel in California, where Monroe stayed after filming one of her most famous movies, ‘Some Like It Hot’. The receipt is available to view at our Jermyn Street ‘museum’ along with other treasured pieces of Floris history.
