For over a century, Guerlain and Baccarat have honored a prestigious collaboration, weaving an unbreakable bond that unites perfume and its recipient. While Guerlain has been creating exceptional fragrances since 1828, Baccarat has been an undisputed expert in the luminous art of sculpting crystal since 1764. This new collaboration, in which demanding techniques meet passion and mastery, is a testament to the virtuosity of these two Maisons and embodies French elegance. Flacon Tortue is coated in "Baccarat red," the manufacturer's legendary signature color, for the first time in history. This shade is born from the fusion of transparent crystal and 24-carat gold dust. The perfume house transforms its iconic gold into a magnetic crimson to create this exceptional and stunning piece. Glassmakers mold the molten material by hand, bringing this Metier d'Art piece to life, a true treasure of meticulous detail. Equipped with a unique savoir-faire, these artisans keep alive the techniques passed down from generation to generation for 260 years. They sculpt the bottle, engrave the 88 stylized facets, and polish it rigorously to reveal all the shine of the extravagant red crystal. The Dames de Table de Guerlain then comb the silk threads one by one with art and precision, following the ancient technique of "barbichage" and seal the neck of the bottle with a delicate wax seal.
