La Piscine was inspired on the movie Swimming Pool, by the French director François Ozon. But it comes also from my memories of the swimming pool I used to go when I was a teenager. I was not a happy teen, but I loved those days at the pool with my friends. This scent has the smell of happiness and what I feel as a sensual experience. The smell of my skin after those days under the sun. La Piscine has chlorine, but also the petrichor smell of the grass that was watered, the smell of flowers and suntan lotion.
