About This Fragrance

Artimitia by Onyrico is a fragrance for women and men. Artimitia was launched in 2018. The nose behind this fragrance is Maurizio Cerizza. Top notes are Ginger and Tangerine; middle notes are Spun Sugar, Ginger flower, Champaca and Orange Blossom; base notes are Sweet Notes, Ginger, Vanilla, Woody Notes, White Musk and Amber. "The new fragrance by Onyrico is an olfactory portrait of overwhelming strength. This elegant signature bottle, premiered at the Exsence exhibition by Niche and Co., is dedicated to one of the most interesting and most discussed characters in the history of Italian art: the painter Artemisia Gentileschi. Artimitia is a well-mixed, very rich bouquet of contradictory suggestions, an unexpected agreement between sparkling floral notes and an intense background with overtly gourmand hints. An extraordinary alchemy of precious raw materials that pays tribute to an eclectic talent, to the most brilliant and fascinating figure of the Italian Renaissance. Emilia Armida Chinigò and Giorgio Biella, the creative voice and entrepreneurial spirit of this perfume house, wanted her to be the "first woman" of Italian Culture to close the third triptych of the prestigious collection dedicated to the great Masters: Empireo (Dante Alighieri), Enygma (Leonardo da Vinci), Itineris (Marco Polo) Michelangelo (Michelangelo Buonarroti), Rossa Boheme (Puccini) Tau (St. Francis of Assisi), Unguentum (Ancient Rome), Zephiro (Sandro Botticelli). It is the top notes, in Artimitia, that describe an exuberant and proud personality. But it is in the elegant and creamy heart of the fragrance that the sensitive soul is revealed, the pure hint of a heroine who, in a century clearly declared hostile to women, claimed her right to freedom. Champaca, a flower with a spicy and fruity fragrance, introduces a soft orange nuance on a strong base. The olfactory canvas of the precious fragrance is a contrast between lights and sharp shadows, inspired by the major paintings of the worthy exponent of the Caravaggesque school: "Susanna ei vecchioni" (Susanna and the elders) of 1610 by Gentileshci, the various paintings dedicated to Judith which depict bloody and dramatic scenes and the famous "Self-Portrait as the Allegory of Painting" of 1638-89. It is also confirmation of the successful partnership between fragrance designer Emilia Chinigò and Maurizio Cerizza, one of the most appreciated noses in the international world of designer perfumery. From their passionate research an essence has emerged, capable of going beyond appearances, of subverting every logical expectation. Their Artimitia is a story of extraordinary sensitivity, of sweet and hidden emotions, but also of strong and irrepressible passions. It's a story with opening notes of Fresh Ginger and Tangerine; a flowery heart of Champaca, Ginger Flowers and Orange Blossoms; a gourmand base of Vanilla, Candied Ginger marrying Woody Notes, with touches of White Musk and Oriental. The bottle is crowned with the distinctive Onyrico cap, in green onyx. The marble, mottled with orange, recalls the characteristic colour of the base of the Self Portrait and the warm colours of the clothes worn by the protagonist of the paintings." - a note from the brand
