Giullare by V Canto is a fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Giullare was launched in 2023. The nose behind this fragrance is Paolo Terenzi. Top notes are Seaweed, Bourbon Vanilla, Coffee and Bergamot; middle notes are Salt, Thyme, Atlas Cedar, Ylang-Ylang, Rosemary, Bulgarian Rose and Peach; base notes are Patchouli, Musk, Birch, Myrrh, Cedarwood, Ambergris, Caramel and Pineapple. This creation is inspired by the happy, lively atmosphere of the medieval square of Gradara, where, amid laughter and whispered secrets, the jester, the eternal artist of intrigue, joy and madness, wanders. The term “giullare” [jester] is derived from the Latin “jocus”, or joke, and refers to an itinerant artist who performs in musical, dance, acrobatic and comic shows with the aim of entertaining the public. Our jester was present at the Gradara court, where, at the same time as dedicating himself primarily to stories, poetry and light, entertaining subjects, he was also required to possess a breadth of cultural knowledge and improvise verses from chivalric cantos and about courtly love. The jester’s role was to captivate the Gradara court with his vivacity and humour, but he also had to be extremely careful not to utter a word out of place because, if the ruler disapproved, he ran the risk of being imprisoned. In addition to playing the role of entertainers, these figures were often communicators and messengers as they travelled between different countries, spreading messages and stories. This fragrance is a tribute to humour and fun; with its essence, it invites us to balance the pleasant and playful aspect of potentially daring situations. It calls to mind the art of the court jesters who would cleverly dance along the fine line between risk and having not a care in the world, skilfully entertaining and making every moment unique. Also the Giullare fragrance brings with it a message of freshness and capturing the essence of fun and contagious joy. The lively and crisp trail of this creation will amaze the olfactory senses of all those who will be enchanted by it, just as the jester entertains his audience with his art and contagious laughter. The perfume opens with an explosion of citrus freshness thanks to the Bergamot from Reggio Calabria, combined with the welcoming sea breeze of the Atlantic Seaweed that envelops the Madagascan Bourbon Vanilla. The latter, in turn, adds a touch of warmth and sensuality alongside the notes of Guatemalan Coffee, creating a compelling contrast between the freshness of the sea and the warmth of the land. These captivating top notes rest on gentle, lively middle notes, in which the juicy aroma of Romagna Peach blends with the freshness of Cervia Salt. Atlas Cedar joins the composition, giving it strength and stability. The notes of Thyme and Rosemary give the fragrance an aromatic and invigorating touch that merges with the floral accord created by the Bulgarian Rose and Ylang-Ylan.
