Secret Oud by Caron is a Oriental Woody fragrance for women and men. Secret Oud was launched in 2018. The nose behind this fragrance is Richard Fraysse. Top notes are Labdanum and Damask Rose; middle notes are Nard Himalayan (Jatamansi) and Jasmine; base note is Agarwood (Oud). Maison Caron, founded in 1904 by Ernest Daltroff, reissues all its emblematic perfumes (formerly available in the Fontaines collection) in the new line La Collection Privée, coming out in 2018 in an art-deco bottles. "In 2011, in response to a request from an Emirati prince who wanted to give his wedding guests a sacred essence, Richard Fraysse began a new chapter in the history of the House. Paying tribute to its founder, a great traveller who explored the world on his search for the most inspiring essences, he orchestrated a composition based on Oud wood, believed in the East to be the wood of the gods, which he married with saffron – the perfumer’s red gold – and Damask rose."
