On a trip to the Ligurian Riviera, Paolo and Tizianawere inspired by a place of natural beauty that combines the elegance and uniqueness of Italian style: Portofino. Strolling along the shores of this magnificent village, remembering the energy and magic of the dancing flames of the San Giorgio bonfire and thinking back to their childhood memories and the sea, which had always been a fundamental element in the most important moments of their lives and an endless source of inspiration for creativity, the idea for a new perfume was born. The Terenzi siblings were fascinated by one of the most recognizable features of Portofino: its crescent-shaped bay, framed by green hills that offer awe-inspiring views and a spectacle of beauty that takes your breath away. The Riviera of the 1960s was characterized by the elegance of the Italian dolce vita and the life of the all-Italian playboys, known as Les Italiens, who were taking over the Riviera at that time to the cry of “Bare feet, jeans, hair in the wind and go!” The picturesque bays and golden beaches became places to live out the dream of La Dolce Vita. It was here that celebrities and artists gathered to celebrate and enjoy the extraordinary beauty of these landscapes. During this period, style, grace, and elegance reigned on the Riviera. Everyone wore fashionable clothes and a sense of beauty prevailed, giving rise to a golden age of fashion and lifestyle, with Portofino becoming an icon of elegance and beauty. Elegance became the art of combining style and sophistication in every aspect of life, a visible manifestation of our sense of beauty, a loud declaration of who we are and how we perceive the world around us. Capturing the essence of this enchanted place, a journey into beauty, art and tradition, this fragrance is dedicated to a trip to Portofino. The name is Rivèa was inspired by the word ‘Rive’, which in the Ligurian dialect means ‘waterfront’ or ‘promenade’. Anyone smelling Rivèa will be taken back to an atmosphere dedicated to la dolce vita and the most incredible beauties of Italy. The fragrance opens with a bouquet of Bulgarian Roses accentuated by Iranian Saffron and Sorrento Lemon on a bed of Indian Davana.
